Moo Baan Dek is about three hours from Bangkok. It is located about 40 Kilometers from the town of Kanchanaburi (Northwest of Bangkok). Its exact address is as follows; Moo Baan Dek, Latya-Srisawat Rd., Muang Kanchanaburi 71190
There are two recommended ways to come to the gathering.
1. Shuttle service: We will arrange for a 60 seated bus to pick up participants from the Terminal II of the Donmuang International Airport at 1400 on 18 Feb. If you cannot make it at the time, please make your own journey to arrive at Moo Baan Dek, or if you really need a lift service, do inform us. Let us know at least two weeks in advance so as to ease the arrangement.
2. Bus service: It will be slightly more complicated and takes longer
time. First, ask the taxi to bring you to the New Southern Bus Terminal (Sai
Tai Mai), from where there is a bus leaving for Kanchanaburi every quarter
or 20 minutes everyday from early morning until 2230. It takes at most two
hours to get there. From the bus terminal in Kanchanburi, take the Erawan
bus and ask them to drop you at the entrance of our school-- this takes about
an hour, even though the distance is only 40 Kilometers, and it costs 20 baht.
Otherwise, hire a van from the Kanchanaburi terminal, which costs no more
than 250 baht and takes half an hour to arrive at the School. Most of the
drivers know Moo Baan Dek. It even appears in the map of the Tourism Authority
of Thailand!
The train is least recommended as it takes almost twice the time (app. four
hours) and there are only two trains from Bangkok to the town of Kanchanaburi--
one in early morning and another after noon time.
